You will conduct studies that address contemporary social problems and examine various cultural practices that impact individuals on personal, local and global levels. Proficiency in English. Applicants whose primary language is not English must demonstrate that their knowledge of English is sufficient to pursue graduate studies in their chosen field. Thesis proposals which depend on special linguistic skills will be accepted only from students competent in the appropriate languages. International students: Considering the waiting period involved in meeting the entry requirements to Canada and Quebec , we strongly encourage international applicants to apply early and submit supporting documents prior to the deadline.

Late applications: Priority will be given to applications submitted on time. In some cases, programs may continue to accept applications as long as there is space available. Co-op program The Co-op program gives you the chance to complete paid work terms over 12 to 16 weeks.

As a Co-op student, you will work on projects designed and implemented by professionals, making it possible for you to: Conduct research connected to ongoing projects focused on social economy or community Engage in data or program analysis Use statistical and graphics software, spreadsheets and database management tools.
